will someone who has experienced this take it to the Common Sound Off? (so those of us to install later may find IBM having addressed this issue). I've had similar issue with a mod 800 6 months ago, where IBM shipped the machine with the keys paperwork labelled "system unavailable at time of shipment" and on a Sunday 8am after an all night install I got connected to Denmark (who were having office phone problems and very nicely called me back on a personal cell phone - i was in atlanta). jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neil Palmer/DPS" <neilp@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 2004 12:50 PM Subject: Software License Keys (was Re: IBM i5 520 built in Ireland? ) > Several of the keys for one install were correct, 2 of them had s/n > 10-55555 entered for hardware s/n so were no good. > > First install the Software License Key sheet said keys weren't available, > so the form said you could get them from: > > 1) Web site (that wouldn't work) > > 2) They listed an 800 # for the IBM Key Centre (the phone # was "not > available from your calling area") > > 3) by email - the sheet listed an invalid email address format - > CAKEYS0DK.IBM.COM > I guessed that the "0" should have been a "@".
