LOL, Buck - you would have to find all kinds of "bad" practices for me!

I do try to put spaces around operators. That doesn't take care of parentheses, where I **don't** usually add spaces.

That's not a final answer, but it may help us for awhile anyhow.
It depends a lot on the code I'm wading through. Here is some food for
