The problem here of course, is that file which no longer gets updated
because those renamed fields were on an externally-described file
format. Not impossible for RDp to cater for, of course, but it would
increase the complexity of the enhancement quite considerably I would
think.

Perhaps RDp could pop a warning if I try to rename a variable defined
externally and let me decide whether to proceed or not.

I keep thinking 'if only I had access to the compiler's symbol table...'
