Edmund,

In 99% of the cases I would want it in parm sequence. The only case I can think of is if there are an unusually large number of parms (say, over 20), I might want the capability to sort them alphabetically.

A nice enhancement would be to number them, if they are sorted alphabetically.

Is there anyone who wants the parameters to be sorted alphabetically?
Should we always keep them in source order?

Subject: [WDSCI-L] New RFE - Outline Parameter sorting
Sent by: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

I put in an RFE to not (or optionally not) sort parameters when the outline
is marked to sort alphabetically. I don't know about you guys/gals, but
99.999% of the time I have the outline sorted alphabetically. The only
piece I don't want sorted alphabetically are the parameters, so when I look
up parameter info (since content assist doesn't show parameter
descriptions, and per the rejected RFE
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=10305
it won't get them), I have to unsort, re-expand the parameters, then when
I'm done getting what I want, I need to resort.

If this interests you, please vote.
