I consider system management jobs to be part of the system manager's role. I can go literally for days or sometimes weeks without using PDM. In that situation I don't think sharing a single license for the very occasional use is outside the spirit of IBM's intent. Your mileage may vary. If, however, you're unable to wean yourself off of the capabilities of PDM and you use them every day, then yes you should probably get an additional ADTS license.

One-man shops don't have the issue; they need one of each. :)

I'm not aware of it but, has IBM introduced floating licenses for ADTS
as well? Because otherwise, it's one license per person doing all the
various system management things.

I never say that RDP completely replaces ALL licenses of ADTS. Just all
but one. :) I always prefer to have one seat of ADTS for all the various
system management things that need to be done, and also if I ever have
to edit CL from the system console.
