Hi Chandra,

Yes, but I'm not understanding why that's a problem. WDSCi is an IDE, not a terminal emulator. You don't run queries from within SEU, right? You know that you could extend SEU to be able to do that if you wanted...

We have an interactive application, we

Right. If your end users use a terminal emulator like Client Access (or whatever it's called this week) then you pretty much need to do your testing with the same emulator. If your organisation supports multiple emulators (say the open source TN5250, Mochasoft and Client Access) then you probably should test your applications on all those emulators.

There is a very distinct difference between the needs of someone creating software and someone using an application. I probably would not be very happy to have yet another terminal emulator (an Eclipse perspective?) that I'd have to deal with. However, if you are interested in removing Client Access from your developer PC and using a different emulator instead, look up TN5250j. What this _might_ offer that the others I mentioned don't is that it's Java based and therefore _might_ be able to be added to WDSCi as a plug in or...?

Just a thought.

In any event, when it comes time to test your application, I would definitely test it using the same emulators your end users use.
