For most of the LPEX selections (non-stream) you use Alt+D to delete them.

One thing I've noticed on the editor is that I can highlight several lines but I may not be able to delete them. But if I backup one space and don't try to delete the last character from the last row selected it will work. Then I can delete that last character in a separate action. Drives me nuts.
