   Joe's point is valid...  You have to consider if you are at all concerned
   about why you got this "Orphaned WIP" inventory sitting out there...  If
   fudging the file is something you're comfortable with then by all
   means...  But if you're inventory valuation is important then clearing out
   the WIP count via normal channels might be more appropriate...
    
   In this case it sounds like this part is long since dead and the valuation
   should not hit the books...
    
   We're running V3.5.1 and we used to get what we call "Orphaned WIP"
   balances all the time, especially from Work Orders...
    
   Looking on 11/MJI should show you the WIP...   PCP61 is the file to fudge
   for sure...  Good luck with that...
