Hi Alan I haven't run into this problem myself but I suggest you look into the files OSLPDF3/PCP61 & PCP83 - WIP Inventory Balance and WIP Period Balance respectively. Scan the files by your offending item no and see what pops up. My guess is that an update may have ended unsuccessfully at some stage and these balance files are out of whack.
