Alan,

1/GLA - Application Data will tell you that there are journals awaiting
update as will 2/GLE - Session Enquiry when you enquire on the detail.

You should use the AM tasks to start and end the subsystems as this ensures
that the subsystem data areas are reset correctly. Get the documentation on
how to create sub systems from support for more detail on this.

Recovering AP and AR sessions is more complex than GL that just needs a
restart.

Bye.

Marcus.

Okay, I checked your advice and Bob's. My system seems to concur with both.
I restarted the GL subsystem and that got me thinking about something the
accountant hadn't mentioned.

Incomplete session. I am going through the recovery steps now.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll keep this on file.

Alan

GLUPDATE runs like this. When you start the subsystem you tell it a
delay time. Once it processes it then delays for that number of seconds
before starting up again. You should see a DLY-XX under the function on
WRKACTJOB where XX is the number of seconds it is delayed.

Subject: [SYS21] GLUPDATE running with DLYW status

Hello all,

My GLUPDATE program appears to be stalled however there is no message to
respond to. Instead there is only a status of DLYW which, according to
F1,
says that the job is in a delayed mode (but it does not say why this is
so
or what can be done to push it back along).

Anyone know how to unthaw this let me know.

Thank you!

Alan
