Andy, We've done numerous 'conversions' / company setups using the std interface programs. One method that we've employeed is to modify the programs to accept a parameter that controls the writing from the interface files to the JBA files....in other words...you'll be able to test the creation of the interface files without the writing of the JBA 'live' files.. If you need anymore informaiton...please look at our web site - www.infoalt.com - for our FREE problem / issue submission feature - introducing our I-Assist support plans / options. Good Luck. We will be using the standard intercace calls for these files to update the Sales Ledger and the General Ledger. My initial thoughts were to create a duplicate Company and do the test runs to this new company, but III have been told that it is not really possible to create a complete duplicate of an existing company. Other thoughts center around a trial run and then restoring from back-up, but this seems to be a bit excessive and would result in significant down-time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
