You should investigate option 28 from the INU menu, assuming you have the
Inventory module as well. This will allow you to purge the old audit
records, choosing which files and back to what date you want to keep online.

Once this has been done, you should reorganize those physical files (RGZPFM
command), which will actually free up your disk space.

We have been using AO & OE  applications since FEB 1999. We note that file
OEP55A (order lines audit file) is the biggest one in size on our system.
We are looking for ways to free disk space and are considering a purge
(SQL)
of this file (after proper backup) in order to keep only 2001 transactions.
We have never had to resort to this file yet, but we understand it's
importance within S21 .  Would anybody comment of any possible issues
(apart from the fact that we will lose disk-resident data) ?.
We are looking  for a fast & safe relief of disk space problem and have not
examined  housekeeping/ archiving options
of the utilities menu .
