Mike, Don't get too excited about Job Management... Ram clearly stated, "But to make it work the way we wanted we had to heavily modify [the] JBA Job Management module."... You cannot believe how kluge this module is...! It was written in Sri Lanka as a field developed product far away from the Software Products office in Studley England, and I'd say that they were not only far apart geographically, but also in design, quality and consistency with the rest of standard package... It was bolted onto Standard Product as an afterthought and held in place with duct tape like Macgyver might do. I do not like the Job Management module in terms of what we have to do to support it... It is not stable (v3.5.1) and not reliable from my experience... It sounds like Ram & company are quite sophisticated and are happily employing their mods along with this module to implement a workable solution to this particularly thorny problem but fair warning, if you want to go down that same path you're going to have a lot of work ahead of you to make it there... Best of luck... <snip> >Mike, > We have the same need here, we use JBA Job Management module for it. >Job Management has a concept of Subjobs wherein every subjob is an Advanced >order entry order.
