So, you should probably only write the WINDOW reocrd format once
and then not write it again as long as your windows are displayed.
That
will also help reduce flicker.
I have *two* window record formats to have SFLs displayed side by
side. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear with that one from the beginning.
Yes, I understood that. But, in my case I have other record
formats that are *inside* of the WINDOW record format which specifies the
window borders. Those record formats use OVERLAY KEEP while the record
format with the window borders does not.
So, if you don't have other record formats *inside* of the window
borders then you should probably create them and use OVERLAY KEEP on them.
Then, you can write your two record formats with the window borders just
once to reduce flicker. You can then read and (re)write the formats with
OVERLAY KEEP without disturbing the formats with the window borders.
Booth tested the code and the problem is not manifesting through his
testing. I also tested with a true 3477 and even there, a flicker is
showing out, but a lot less apparent than with Mocha on my Mac.
So, are you going to chalk it up to a MOCHA/MAC thing?
Sincerely,
Dave Clark
