Yes, factor 2, and the result columns are the same variable name. This
appears twice (for different fields) as part of a segment of code that seems
to do much more work than it needs to accomplish a calculation. Anyway,
having a little trouble getting my head around what the results of this
would be. It is in a much larger loop that processes different records each
iteration.

Is the program compiled with IGNDECERR(*YES)?
It could be trying to 'clean up' decimal data errors...
