The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I will look at your Python links and get back to you. We are still on V7R1

7.1 is fine for Python, and likely any other viable option you'll
encounter in the next year.
Also looking at the Easy400 tools (which I have used several before).
I would think (but have not verified for myself) that this is the best
"bundle" for using POI from RPG. It builds on Scott's work, and there
is some documentation there which hopefully isn't blocked by your
workplace.
Speaking of blocked "personal" sites, the little articles I wrote to
try to help folks get started with iSeriesPython are actually blocked
at my workplace. While disappointing, it's also not surprising, since
they are hosted on Blogger:

In particular, it's probably important to read the one on installing
Python packages on the i for use with iSeriesPython, because that's
one area where the peculiarities of the i (relative to mainstream
platforms) really make a difference.
