Hi Dan

I also did an extensive revision - I wonder if there's a place we can put files? Maybe on the midrange wiki? I'd be happy to share mine, as well. And some handy macros and a crazy popup menu.

I have my IBM\Client Access\Emulator\private folder archived and take it

My .KMP (keyboard mapping) file shows approx. 60 customizations, which
include custom-made macros and re-maps to familiar Windows-style
functions. I bite my tongue whenever I see colleagues use the mouse to
complete the entire "select text, copy, reposition cursor, and paste"
routine. Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V are so, SO much faster.

The hardest part of the learning curve to remap the keyboard (for me,
anyways) was understanding the definition of all of the pre-defined
functions. There's a lot of obsolete carryover functions for IBM's
OfficeVision (shudder) product, and I don't think I ever located
documentation that explained all of the pre-defined functions.

If you want a jump-start, I'd be happy to share what I've got with anyone
who's interested.

I've never run into one person using CA that has them mapped (which anyhow,
since 1972 should have been mapped to being with.. lol). And I probably
get on at least 4-5 different customer's machines a week on average.

Every time I highlight, Ctl-C and bing... locks up the session lol. Then I
remember I have to highlight, go to Edit, copy, etc.. etc..

I was aware they "can" be, but that's one reason I still use my old copy of
powerterm. I didn't have to do that. :)

Must have come from OS/2 lol.

Maybe there should be a keyboard mapping class at COMMON for CA users. It
has to be frustrating.

Sort of moot and just a pet peave.. I was more concerned if I had to use
RDi on V5R2 up to V7R2 would the latest version of RDi "work" on all of
them, or would I need one old version for the older OS versions?
