While not required, I personally like to send binding directories to the
production machine. It comes in handy if you ever need to write something
quick and dirty in production for a problem. (Of course I would never
recommend working in production. Especially not when upper management is
breathing down your neck.)

correct binding directories and modules are compile-time objects and are
not needed on your production system. generally for CM packages i set up
the process to only distribute the service program or program
