Presumably there are one or more API calls thatsimulate "SET RESULT> SETS" but my inexperience is showing as I cannot put
all the pieces > together.
Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to use 'SET RESULT SETS' unless
you use the embedded SQL compiler. The CLI reference explicitly states
that CLI can't be used to return a result set, and the SQL Reference
manual states that the 'SET RESULT SETS' statement can only be embedded
into an application program.
Your alternatives:
a) Use parameters instead of result sets to return information.
b) Scrap the SQL idea and use web services, instead.
