Scott,

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to experiment with stored procedures by
following the ORDERR4 example before getting into web services, but oh well.
Anyone remember Bill Murray's "baby steps" in the movie "What about Bob?"

Or perhaps someone would be kind enough to send me a SAVF of the compiled
ORDERR4 to johnking at pdq dot net?

Many thanks, JK

Hi John,

Presumably there are one or more API calls that
simulate "SET RESULT> SETS" but my inexperience is showing as I cannot put
all the pieces > together.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to use 'SET RESULT SETS' unless
you use the embedded SQL compiler. The CLI reference explicitly states
that CLI can't be used to return a result set, and the SQL Reference
manual states that the 'SET RESULT SETS' statement can only be embedded
into an application program.

Your alternatives:

a) Use parameters instead of result sets to return information.
b) Scrap the SQL idea and use web services, instead.

I wish I had better news for you...
