I'll add alternative c) :

Even without the feature code loaded on your system, if you can get the
program compiled on a system that *does* have 5722ST1, I believe that you
can *run* it on your system! JDE has several programs that use embedded SQL
that were running fine on several of my clients' system that didn't have the
SQL Developer Kit...
