Midrange-l might be best. Starting a new topic with "Reply with History"??? Criticism aside, you need to find a switch that has some kind of electronic interface. Be it RS232, ethernet, etc. Once you find the switch then you can delve into how to communicate with the switch from the i. Or, forget the light and get a pager. Then buy some paging software and have it monitor a message queue or something. Messenger Plus is one of the most popular. LXI Page is ok. Robot gets a lot of coverage. However the other vendors often bundle better. Like most of the other vendors products are some combination of Robot's Alert and UPS, Console, Schedule, etc. Don't assume that the higher the price the better the quality. I looked for a package to replace WRKDBF and some of these were cheap beer on a champagne budget. http://www.bytware.com/products/mplus.html http://lxi.com/solutions/page_and_event_management.html http://www.helpsystems.com/products/alert.html Rob Berendt
