It's amazing how that "high horse" has a tendency of allowing one to make a great fall... -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jeff Crosby Sent: Friday, August 18, 2006 7:43 AM To: 'RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries' Subject: RE: while exit from the dsply fiel its adding a blank record with 0'
Shiva - I'm NOT going to give you the technical answer, but anyone who has had
the CS101 course (basic programming logic) has surely been taught that a DO WHILE loop (RPG/400's DOW operation) doesn't check the looping condition until it reaches the END of the loop (RPG/400's ENDDO operation).
I think that's incorrect. Doesn't the DOW check at the start of the loop and the DOU check at the end? -- Jeff Crosby Dilgard Frozen Foods, Inc. P.O. Box 13369 Ft.
