>> Let say 10 of them think that sub-procedure is good and make program more readable and the other think that it is cumbersome and confusing. What should the shop do? Of all of the shops where I have taught subprocedures etc. the only "complaint" they have ever had after starting to use them properly is that should have started years ago. This is a V3R2 feature - it is not exactly new. I assume that they also stick to 6 character names as well as conditioning indicators? Point out to the "others" that most _every_ computer language in the world has the equivalent of subprocedures. That the usage of such coding techniques is about the _one_ thing that Comp-Sci academics, Java programmers, C programmers, C++ programmers, Python programmers and just about everybody else who ever programs a computer agrees on. There should be a lesson in that. Jon Paris Partner400 www.Partner400.com
