If that works then maybe it was the possibility that you have an error
indicator on your WRITE statement that was being ignored.  Do you have a
joblog?

I'm not sure if the records are writing out on the production box.  I know
one thing, everything works on the development box when I recompile
everything as it should.  So, I'm just going to recompile everything and
send it back over to the production box.  If I had recompiled all the
objects correctly in the first place I wouldn't be wondering why it's
doing
some of the things it's doing on the production box ;-) <g>.  Have a good

In the breakdown of your CL, there is no mention of checking to see if the
file already exists in QTEMP.  If you changed your original file with the
older version still in QTEMP, and you haven't signed off/on or deleted the
file in QTEMP, your program is still using the old version of the file,
which would explain why you're not getting a level check.  The second
thing
to look at is, are you sure that your programs are really writing records
out?
