I did some research for that a while ago : the date data type is a so called "Lillian Date" and is not defined for dates before the change of calendar that you mentioned. I took that from the manuals but can't remember from which. how about : c/exec sql set :dow = dayOfWeek(:date) c/end-exec if you have SQL of course --------------------------- Dipl.Inf.(FH) Rolf P Mittag IBM Partner in Development Leipziger Str. 50 D-69214 Eppelheim Fon: +49 (6221) 76 78 60 Fax: +49 (6221) 76 80 26 eMl: rm@r-m-e-d-v.de +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
