Is this really true? Is the AS/400 a marginal piece for IBM or is the AS/400 a true cash machine? My understanding from sources I consider reliable is that the mid-range machines beginning with the Sys/3 through the Sys/38, Sys/36, and AS/400 have survived every assassination attempt by IBM's mainframe people because the mid-range machines have generated tons and tons of cash year in and year out. _______________________ Booth Martin booth@martinvt.com http://www.MartinVT.com _______________________ "L. IBM will not invest those same resources in the AS/400 because the potential return is low and the potential for return is even lower. +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
