As an addendum to my previous email:  I would still use KLISTs, but a 
free-format chain
statement would be a wonderful tool to have available, and I'd use it too, 
depending on the need
of the application...  I just don't think having one should mean discarding the 
other.

As a subnote, kudos to Hans, it's great that IBM is actually making use of 
forums like this one,
and getting input from groups of professionals who work with development tools 
on a daily basis
and in real-life situations.  Keep it up!
