I've encountered another small conversion problem. In the open feedback information for a print file, fields with the internal data type of Binary do not get converted to Integer. Bill, Don't hesitate to convert programs to RPG IV to overcome limits like this. Create a new source file QRPGLESRC RCDLEN(112) and CVTRPGSRC. You'll quickly come to appreciate the relaxed constraints that RPG400 imposes, even if you never use a single RPG IV feature. The *only* gotcha that I've run across is when your old RPG400 program is compiled IGNDECERR(*YES) and you really have invalid decimal data. RPG IV has a FIXDECERR(*YES) parameter, but it logs each occurrence of fixed data to the job log, and slows performance hideously.
