Create a new source file QRPGLESRC RCDLEN(112) and CVTRPGSRC. You'll quickly come to appreciate the relaxed constraints that RPG400 imposes, even if you never use a single RPG IV feature. The *only* gotcha that I've run across is when your old RPG400 program is compiled IGNDECERR(*YES) and you really have invalid decimal data. RPG IV has a FIXDECERR(*YES) parameter, but it logs each occurrence of fixed data to the job log, and slows performance hideously.
