No. In fact, the entire home "network" (PCs, routers, cable modem) had been 
powered down for the Labor Day weekend, and the first thing I did Monday 
night was to attempt the RD on the WinXP box.

Have you tried cycling power on the router?

Yes. 

Which router are you using?

Not sure. Might be D-Link or LinkSys; have to check when I get home.
