Hi Bob ! I had 0.0.0.0 but I also had a legit IP address. IP Address 0.0.0.0 Subnet Mask 0.0.0.0 IP Address 192.168.2.100 Default Gateway 192.168.2.1 I'll try the renew deal that John mentioned and maybe that will clear things up ! Thanks, Chuck -----Original Message----- From: pctech-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pctech-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bob Crothers Sent: Monday, August 08, 2005 12:12 PM To: 'PC Technical Discussion for iSeries Users' Subject: RE: [PCTECH] Problem with browser(s) find a website Chuck, >From what I remember of the conversation last week, you problem could the a bad network mask. You had 0.0.0.0 That means that TCP will think that EVERYTHING is on your local network...so it will never send anything to the gateway. Fine for your local machines...not so good to "get out over the internet". Solution is to put the proper network mask in. Probably 255.255.255.0 but use what ever your working machine is using. I'd also remove the 0.0.0.0 address. BTW, are you using DHCP? If so, it should set everything up correctly. Presuming your DHCP server is setup correctly that is. Bob
