And the minute I hit send, I go poking around with Google and find that MS
made that toll available for NT and W2K !       

So I downloaded it but the "Renew" button is grayed out (?)

Oh well... :-)

I'm probably the last person to listen to in regards to resolving
internet connectivity issues, but in a jam at home, I usually try the
Renew All button in winipcfg (it that Win98 only?)  It looks like
IPconfig /renew does the same thing.

Since I've had the router firewall at home, I just reset it in the
router admin page.
