Rick, It certainly sounds like they want the applicants to mimic the position requirements and make the resume look just like the job description. The more interesting part is the "exchange" of experience with non-IT degrees. This allows the employer to allow almost anyone from an offshore country to qualify, as most degrees in places like India that are not from the "Top-line" universities are suspect and completely unverifiable. Most of their degrees are from technical colleges and universities and only require 2 years to complete (beginning at age 16 or so), but show up on the resume as a 4 year degree. I also wonder how often they require offshore sites to take lie-detector tests and drug tests and drug screening. I'll just bet that background screening is a nightmare, especially in some of the Indian provinces where the entire local government is communist. Kindof like writing a 'request for proposal' to ensure that one and only one vendor can meet requirements. Rick ----Original Message------- FYI. They have 56 job listings. I'm assuming since they are pretty close to the valley, and they are a non-profit that they aren't offering much money, but you never know. I did find it interesting that the description and qualifications for a Jr. Programmer is a typewritten page (below). I guess the only way we would know is to actually call them or apply for a job.
