I already got the (interactive) SQL part to work. I'm specifically asking for DDM files for classic API calls. From gleaning through the Distributed Data Management book, there's a mentioning about CICS and VSAM but not DB2.

Not sure you can connect ACS to the mainframe. Probably not.

Just tried. Apparently DB2 there doesn't use the same TCP port for DRDA compared to IBM i.
