Tea leaves tell me the Unix side of Power is pushing deeper in the IBM i.
I have about 3-4 more years and then I'm skipping all releases.
I have to say, I don't understand this comment. The withdrawal of support and enhancements of products that are 30 years old and haven't seen much use and might have security vulnerabilities - that is nothing about Unix. It is partly about IBM's resources and should they dedicate those resources to these things.
Or do you mean you will be retiring in 3 or 4 years? That's one way to skip releases, right? :)
