Re: How to do FTP using TN5250 Mochasoft

Hi,

On IBM i ACS i get this error when i select General tab -5250
Emulator-Signon to IBM i pub400.com -here once i enter same user id and
password which i enter on Mochasoft ( which also successfully gets
connected with 'pub400.com' (mentioned as AS/400 ip address on session form
port number 992 SSL/TLS)
error i get here -""CPF1120-CPF1120-User does not exist or password not
correct for user profile."

SSH is installed on my machine as can see various commands when i enter ssh
on command prompt like below:-

[-b bind_address] [-c cipher_spec] [-D [bind_address:]port]
[-E log_file] [-e escape_char] [-F configfile] [-I pkcs11]

for SSH - >ssh -p 23 myuserid@xxxxxxxxxx

nothing happens even after pressing enter key on DOS command prompt.


for SSH - >ssh -p 992 myuserid@xxxxxxxxxx

get this error :- -kex_exchange_identification: banner line contains
invalid characters

Mocha is a pure 5250 client, and your issue shows with pub400.com.

iACS does some kind of prevalidation of a user account before showing the
actual signon screen. Do you get the error at the prevalidation stage (not
a 5250 screen but a GUI dialog), or at the 5250 screen?

Just for curiosity: Can you sign on by ssh?

Since you say FTP doesn't work, iACS doesn't work, but Mocha works, I'd
ask the pub400 folks for help directly. Maybe there is something wrong with
your user profile or some internal validation fails with FTP and iACS but
succeeds with Mocha.
