Second asked to “unassign” the adapter. I have no clue how that is done.
VRYCFG is not for adapters…
[cut]The HMC (standing for Hardware Management Console) is a dedicated device (an IBM x86 or Power based device or a specific Virtual Machine managed by virtualization engines such as VMWare, running a specific and closed version of Linux) used to manage (create/change/start/end) partitions and servers (start/end/update). It is a completely distinct stuff than the server and the partitions.
Fourth asked to create something called PEDBG using the HMC. This task –
(together with the “unassign” thing) is where I am stumped. I have never
worked with the HMC in my life. Checked if it was possible to access through
the Navigator ut apparently not. Nothing in the ACS activities either. Saw
something about a web interface something like the navigator (link shown in
youtube video) but that did not work either. Is the HMC a device such as a
PC physically connected to the machine or is there some kind of setup that
is missing?
