IT tells me that my emails are going to an old obsolete mail server. Mythe
TCP connections show two connections with the Remote Address of the wrong
mail server with Remote Port of 25. I don't have any connections using
correct mail server IP. Emails I send show the wrong mail server in the
headers.
Any idea what to check?
Check if you have outdated entries in your hosts table, also.
And, check with IT if the DNS name is only once in DNS. If one hostname
resolves to multiple names, client implementation will use that for some
crude round-robin scheme of load-balancing: Each try hits the next IP
address since the last query.
