Agreed - wordy, for sure. As I recall from when I last used it 6 or 7
years ago in RPGLE, you pass definitions of columns, including values.
I'm not sure I did things that way, because one can get multiple cursors
using CLI, so you can do fetches from one or the other - but that would
not be quite the same in CL.
Still, interesting to use more of the CLI stuff, not just to get cursors.
