Unfortunately I've never really gotten into strategies to bridge between
the IBM i native virtual machine and PASE, and more particularly
interfacing with other virtual machine environments such as python that run
in PASE. The architectures seem so disparate that they might as well be
hosted on separate hardware platforms.


Honestly, they work together very nicely.

You're not going to be replacing sophisticated high-performance RPGSQL
programs with CL + Python but you can do all your admin stuff that way.
I've updated rather complex workflows that run once a day with CL
wrappering on the legacy side Python running on the PASE side.
Python can call CL. CL can call Python. Python can call Db2 ... etc.
