I think we have SEU only installed on 4 of our 15 lpars. I keep thinking of halving that number. I don't think our production lpar (and it's h/a counterpart) need it anymore. It used to need the compiler because of one vendor's report writer used to compile code.
On the rare occasion when I develop a quick and dirty CL program on one of the other lpars there's always EDTF.
However I find myself using Run SQL Scripts with the CL: line in it quite often. Connect to a lpar, run the script, connect to the next lpar, repeat. No object resides on the system and therefore bypasses the need for Change Management. (ok, that's debateable, like, didn't the script change something?)
