Thanks for the tip.
My original Fatal Putty error was due to an old version of Putty.
Downloaded latest version, connected with no issue.

Doing from my phone and I did not fully explain. You can collect some different HMC data from QMGTOOLS. PEDBG data is one of them.
It (QMGTOOLS) is a good thing to have on the system to assist you in collecting data for IBM support.

Alternate way to capture PEDBG data. Use IBM’s MustGather tools.
Lots of other data gathering and transmission options.

I've never used command line access with the new HMC code, where is it, how does one access it.
Also, putty to the HMC is timing out, what needs to change to resolve this.
I need to gather data for IBM support.
