To answer you first question, you access it via ssh and the client of your choice - putty it looks like. For the second question, I think it ships with SSH turned off, so you will need to turn it on.

I've never used command line access with the new HMC code, where is it, how does one access it.
Also, putty to the HMC is timing out, what needs to change to resolve this.
I need to gather data for IBM support.
