The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

The new created virtual SCSI adapters created on running host and saved in the host profile do NOT appear when DSPHDWRSC *CMN.

Hello Paul,

So the host does need an IPL.
Definitely no.
If you're using a HMC and the hosting LPAR is running, you can use dynamic partitioning. This is *only* showing up in HMC when the to-be-modified LPAR is already running. Then the resources will show up in the hosting LPAR's DSPHDWRSC.
Don't forget to save the changed partition settings back to the profile, if Sync is disabled!
