The C complier has been there for some time too, but it was used by almost
no one, and rarely if ever loaded onto the system, (assuming you are
referring to the complier in 5770WDS) The PACE C complier has been around
longer than that and even more rarely used. To call out obscure portions of
the system in this case was not relevant.



The fact that the C compilers are not in common use (until recently) means
we were referencing the more traditional environments, CL, COBOL, RPG.
