Duane,
You can rename from a clp using an * for a wildcard.
The command is REN
There are CPF messages for Not found or multiple found, and many other
issues.
If you prompt the command and get command help you will see the list of CPF
messages at end of help (put cursor on the top line of command screen and
press F1)
I ran this and it works fine at V7R1 (old system)
My test to rename /reports/EOBTEST.pdf
REN OBJ('/reports/EOBTE*') NEWOBJ('EOBTEST123.pdf')
I've used this before - you need some clp logic for the not found and
multiple found..

Subject: renaming file on IFS
I retrieve a file of cleared checks from the bank and put it in a folder on
the IFS. Then I have to go in and rename the file manually. This is the
name that is retrieved.
%BMOCOM-SEND%ADW35311-DCS-REC-A%SFTP%ACCEPTED%58gcnn00e007rnsn002uhb7h
17KB
2020-02-06 08:13:46.09
2020-02-06 08:13:45.96
I rename it CLRBMO.TXT
Is there a way to have a cl check the folder and if there is a file that
starts with %BMOCOM then rename it to CLRBMO.TXT
Thanks
Duane Danner
