I suspect James is looking to rewrite his 5250 emulator for web based purposes.
He probably wants to use HTML5 so there's no requirement for any browsers to download any code; java, java script, or otherwise.
He probably likes the one by Neils because it works pretty well with the function keys. Now he's trying to find how it all works so he can reinvent it to his purposes. And so he can resolve issues like it sharing the same session for multiple browser users.
These above reasons are probably why he has not replied at all to suggestions to at least try things like the emulator in either the web based client solutions for 5250 nor the 5250 available at the navigator link of http://youribmi:2001.
