Got a call from IBM this morning. Apparently my remaining Power 8 died. Something about a backplane issue. They mumbled something about it having been going on awhile but it finally called home. This concerns me. Like, is there some way I could have caught this before it died?
On the positive side it is mainly a sandbox machine. 2 lpars of VIOS and 5 LPARs of IBM i. Mostly for testing and triple redundancy. One lpar does have some old archived Domino databases. Probably the only one a "user" may notice. Well those who may have been working on any Domino server on any of it's other lpars as they got automatically failed over to a live server. But, really, I do it's quarterly downtimes midday, midweek.
