Alan,
As I see it, a simple CL that checks for QDAY = 1 or QDAYOFWEEK = *SAT that
gets called everyday is as simple as it gets, and should be easy to
maintain (in case the user decides he wants the job executed on Sundays :-)
).

Thanks for the reply Luisgoing
I was thinking about creating a second job scheduled entry to be run on
the first of each month, but populating the omit dates parameter with all
the dates that are the first of each month that falls on a Saturday -
out for the next 10 years or soBehalf
There cant be THAT many

of each montgh
Alan,
AFAIK, that is not possible with WRKJOBSCDE.
Why don't you create a small program that gets called each day and
whether to execute or not your job (using the system date as aparameter)?
a.m.

Hi everyone
Before I forget - we are on V7r3
We have a WRKJOBSCDE that is scheduled to run every Saturday @ 7:00
subscribe,The users would now like this to be run on the first of each month as--
well
- also @ 7:00 a.m.
Is this possible within the same job scheduled entry?
I would prefer NOT to have 2 separate job scheduled entries - a new
one for the first of each month as February 1, 2020 is a Saturday and
I don't want 2 instances of the same job/programs being run at the
same time
As always - all answers gratefully accepted
